Dragons Nest (Music: J. Blank; Lyrics: H. Treichel, 1997) Pillows of concrete and cushions of steel high on the towers of might Voluptuously feeding their brood, hear them cheer Huxley and Orwell were right Eyes in the darkness, Big Bother stands watch Noone is getting away A box without hinges, key or a lid. Ignorance now takes its toll, Ref. Wake up people Put your (damn) courage to the test Take a stand now. Burn the dragons nest! Heir to the power, creature from hell spreading its wings in the night St. Michael’s imprisoned, God’s in a maze Will they come back to the light? Refrain Solo Refrain What are we doing? What have we done? What are we making? What have we known? Daylight is dying, listen and hark. Control to the end of the dark. Voiceless it’s crying, wingless it flutters Toothless it bites and mouth less it mutters. Endzeit goes out there, cannot be seen Big Brother stands watch to the scene.

Happy 02:31
Happy (Music: J. Blank; Lyrics: H. Treichel, 1997) I can feel it. Love is in, love is in the air. I can hardly touch the ground. (Can’t you see it?) The sun is breaking, breaking through, breaking through the clouds And the world is full of sound (Can’t you hear it?) Ref. We’re so happy ‘cause we never feel the anger in our hearts, in our souls. Got our music and our friends that’s why we never stay alone Got a feeling things are working, things are working out. Got the music that I love. (Can’t you feel it?) I’m on my way now, I’m on my way, spinning high above. Chase the windmills, the wings of time. (Won’t you tell me?) Refrain Solo I am floating dancing on, dancing on the clouds. Won’t you join me in kingdom-come? (Do you want it?) The sun is breaking, breaking through, breaking through the clouds. And the world is full of

about

GIFT/NEW RELEASE

Two previously unpublished productions surfaced!

Two of the founding members of the legendary German rock group GIFT (Rainer Baur and Helmuth Treichel), together with some guest musicians, recorded new songs in 1997, which are now being released after 20 years.
The two songs HAPPY and DRAGONS NEST are different from the original GIFT own hard rock sound recorded in the zeitgeist of the 90s.

Band history:
Founded in 1968 as PHALLUS DEI, their first album appeared in 1972 as GIFT in the cast Uwe Patzke (bass), Rainer Baur (guitar), Helmut Treichel (vocals), Hermann Lange (drums) and Nick Woodland (guitar). When they released their second album two years later after a few changes, the band was very well known in the scene through TV appearances and concerts throughout Germany. GIFT split in 1974.
Due to persistent demand, some of the labels then published over the years occasionally small editions of the first two productions.
On a much-acclaimed live TV appearance at Pro7 in 2014, all the band members returned to the event after a 40-year break.

The GIFT project lives on, even after almost 50 years.
